Takaoka no Kami possesses Masahiro again.
Mokkun: What are you here for? You’d better have plot information, otherwise it’s just a waste of screen time.
Takaoka no Kami: Actually, I do have something to say- something is going to happen to soon.
Takaoka no Kami departs.
Mokkun: Yeah, like we couldn’t have figured that out on our own.
Later, Masahiro and Mokkun go out on patrol. Continue Reading »

Taiin receives a wind-mail from Byakko and Suzaku.
Byakko: We have discovered important plot information. The evil onryou enemy of the arc is the spirit of a man named Hozumi no Moronao.
Seimei relays this information to Masahiro.
Seimei: Masahiro, I also have important background information about Moronao that will prevent us from having to have a budget-sucking action or movement scene for a few minutes. Basically he was evil when he was alive, and is evil now- and he hates Yukinari’s grandfather for exiling him. Continue Reading »

A generic is patrolling at night when the onryou appears before him.
Onryou: Take me to your leader!
Generic: Please don’t hurt me, I’m just a generic guard! If you want to talk to a named character, try Fujiwara-no-Yukinari!
The onryou goes to see Yukinari, who is in bed.
Yukinari: What’s this- I didn’t order a man for tonight!
Onryou: Inflict status- Life Drain! Continue Reading »

Seimei and Masahiro visit Michinaga.
Michinaga: Masahiro, we’ve been getting complaints that the Kyuuki arc is lasting far too long. You must finish it tonight.
(Seimei: Masahiro, Masahiro, Masahiro…why do we always have to rely on this untrained Level Three boy?)
Seimei: Now, Masahiro, if you wouldn’t mind running along, Michinaga and I can discuss adult matters.
Masahiro goes to see Akiko. Continue Reading »

Mokkun goes into Masahiro’s room, only to find that he has been possessed by Takao no Kami, the Kifune dragon god.
Mokkun: Wow, Masahiro, you’re a lot better looking now- I mean, don’t you dare do anything to the main character that might jeopardise my position on the show.
Takao no Kami: Now really- have you forgotten already that I was the deus ex machina who saved you last episode? If the plot requires it, I may even help out again.
Mokkun: You didn’t need to come here just to tell me that.
Takao no Kami: You’re right, for I actually came here with important plot information. The evil foreign demons have begun to act. Continue Reading »

Masahiro and Guren run to the next encounter area. As they get there, they are joined by Seiryu, Pigtails and Rikugou.
Masahiro: Thanks for joining my party, Seiryu- now I can hide behind you and earn some EXP.
Seiryu: You may be the main character, but whilst you are still Level Two, you do not even deserve to utter my name.
Masahiro: Whatever…just clear a path for me so that I can rescue Akiko and get all the credit. Continue Reading »

Masahiro and Mokkun are left behind as Akiko is kidnapped by Keiko and taken away.
Masahiro: Damn, I missed out on EXP again. Mokkun, how’s your HP?
Mokkun: I lost a few points, but I’m fine; more importantly, what should we do next?
Masahiro: In order to determine that, we’ll need to use Flashback Combo Mode!
A couple of minutes of budget saving flashbacks establish that our heroes need to go to Kifune. Continue Reading »

Akiko is asleep at her home when she hears a voice calling her.
Akiko: I can hear a random voice calling to me- I’d better go outside and see who it is.
A woman, Keiko, is waiting outside.
Keiko: Akiko, come over to me, since this is clearly not a trap.
As Akiko hesitates, black smoke appears and ‘Damn you’ is heard.
(Akiko: That ‘Damn you’ sounded like it came from a villain- I’d better go indoors.) Continue Reading »
