Everything is going smoothly for me, which I suppose is to be expected for a man of my keen intellect and refined skills. For now, Mai is my main focus, for I am in the middle of raising her- to abandon her would be to risk damaging her stats (just look at where she would be if I hadn’t confronted the student council and single-handedly saved her from expulsion whilst Sayuri and that blonde guy watched me in admiration). Greetings, regular readers, Kanon fans and people who randomly clicked on this blog after googling for the letter t. In response to the fact that Kanon, and thus the Diaries, have been getting quite dull of late, we’ve decided to mix things up by giving you access to the innermost thoughts of not only Yuuichi, but also all the girls. Naturally, Yuuichi was a little annoyed at having to share his spotlight, but after we promised to script him a sequel game with more H-scenes, he readily agreed to do anything we asked. It is odd how the promise of freedom can so drastically alter one’s perspective on matters; once, I felt hemmed in by the prospect of endless days with Makoto, but now that she is visibly weakening, I am almost sorry to lose her. It is a commonly held belief that it is the man who must work to put together his harem, but of late it has occurred to me that it does not have to be that way. After all, whilst I am practically the embodiment of perfection, the girls are inferior beings who only exist for me to sleep with- they should be glad of any attention that I give them! In fact, today, instead of building up a harem, I have decided to sequentially work on each girl, discarding the imperfect ones and only keeping the best. First to go shall be Makoto. It has taken a while, but at long last I have worked out the optimum schedule for maximising my time with the girls. In order that others may learn from my shining example, I have generously decided to include it here.

Early morning: Get up, tease Makoto, walk to school with Nayuki if possible.

Morning: Classes with Nayuki and Kaori.

Lunchtime: Visit Shiori outside before eating lunch with Sayuri and Mai.

Afternoon: Classes with Nayuki and Kaori. Walk home with Nayuki if possible; otherwise go into town and spend time with Ayu. Pick up Makoto from work.

Evening: Copy Nayuki’s homework; eat dinner with Nayuki, Makoto and Akiko. Take every opportunity to tease Makoto.

Late Evening: Go back into school to see Mai.

Night: Forego sleep in order to catch Makoto at her pranks. Encourage her to spend the night in my bed.

As you can see, it is a packed schedule, but surely well worth the effort. Continue Reading »

Is this image even necessary? Not really, but since a picture is supposedly worth a thousand words, it effectively doubles the length of my article.

For a while now, I’ve wanted to rave about Air, but since I didn’t really think I could turn it into a coherent blog post, I had to leave that idea on the backburner. Then, more recently, I decided to review Kanon (old) and rant about Kanon (new), but neither of those seemed quite worthy of their own post either. The solution- combine all three into one article and pretend that’s how you meant to do it in the first place. Thus I present “Kanon vs. Air”, an attempt to explain why I enjoyed Air so much and yet couldn’t reproduce the effect with Kanon (bear in mind that I haven’t played either of the games so I can’t comment on how the anime series compare to the original material).
