Azure Art
Okay, people, here is where you can come to snigger at my drawing ability (or lack thereof). Apart from the paltry few featured here, I do a lot of ink and pencil fanart, but the purpose of this page is just to show a few computer-drawn designs. If you want to see the archives of pointless fanart, get in touch.
Leon: a notorious gang leader, Leon is charismatic, clever and deadly, but everything he does is to protect the people he has taken under his wing.
Matt: one of Leon’s subordinates, Matt and his twin sister May have followed their leader ever since he rescued them from a life of living on the streets. Laid-back and unconcerned with the bigger issues, Matt generally drifts through life, spending much of his time wasting what little money he has at arcades and casinoes. Although he is good in a fight, it’s hard to rouse him to anger since for the most part he just doesn’t care.
May: Matt’s twin sister, May is a lot more thoughtful and applied than her brother; she looks up to Leon as a big brother and would do anything he says, but at the same time she feels remorse towards the victims of their crimes- often apologising with a “we do this because we have to”. In another life, May would have been a hard-working office lady.
Shannon: Leon’s girlfriend, Shannon tries to project an image of an innocent young girl, but nothing could be further from the truth. Sharp-eyed and cynical, she enjoys the apparent position of power being intimate with Leon puts her in, and whilst strangers are meant to think she is sweet and innocent, those who know her better are treated with cool disdain.
Maria: catgirl maid designed for Necromancer- I sent him the original pencil-coloured drawing, in which the skirt was red and Maria had blonde hair.
Maru: Tribal design based on Utawarerumono; imagine an older Aruruu without ears and tail.
Mimi: A cute ten year old girl who loves dressing up; my brother thinks he’s married to her.
Lira: Inspired by a scene from Slayers and Bee Train’s love of little pink-haired girls with teddy bears. Not very detailed, but I felt the need to draw her nonetheless.
Michiru: I designed her for the Animeblogger mascot competition, but in the end she got consigned to obscurity here.
Aka: Based on an outfit I wore at Christmas.
Amanda: I came up with the design at the same time as Mimi; a bit simplistic perhaps but based on the idea of mother as a priestess.

Natasha: Although the hair and dress clash, I was inspired by the sight of Shiris in a ballgown in Lodoss Wat- but since I was too lazy to put the DVD in my computer and take a screencap, I decided to come up with a similar design of my own.
Annette: Annette is a character I want to spend a lot of time developing; I initially imagined her as the perfect girlfriend for someone I know and she really evolved from there. She’s smart, fashionable and up to date with the latest trends in everything from mobiles and PDAs to jewellery and accessories- but don’t think she’s a blonde bimbo as she’s well able to hold her own.
