FINAL FANTASY TACTICS was, is and it will be my favorite PSX game. The history, the gameplay, the intelligence that requires to beat the entire game with 100% of completion. I gonna love it forever. I really want to know if I can play it on my PS3... hope so... byee

Is my memory that bad but doesn´t chemists have the ability to equip a gun by default?

Since I´ve had chemist lay waste on my team with their guns when fighting in random battles where the chemists have elemental guns...

Meliadoul rocks, give her a sword and some enemies with weapons/armour/accessories and she´ll lay havoc on them by killing either them, their equipment or both :)

Cid is a powerhouse. Give him a sword and he´ll take care of any stage by himself. Which is really boring.

Ramza as a ninja or bard is quite intresting. As a ninja he is lightning fast and does tons of damage, as a bard he can stand in the corner and give out ally boosts or heal them.

When I played I got a little to carried away as Ramza and most of his company was lvl 99... and now when I play I usually play to level the lower characters up. To bad Cloud sucks so much in the game :(

And it´s a pity that when all story characters have taken home in your troop you can have one or two generic characters/monsters :(

But it is very addicting. Given the hardships you have to face it is amazing that you just come back begging for more punishment untill you find that very nice way out of things.

Thanks for the recommendation; Tactics Ogre is one of those games I've been meaning to try for ages but still haven't got around to so it's good to have a reason to prioritise it.

If you liked Final Fantasy Tactics, I encourage you to try out Tactics Ogre if you haven't done so already. It was the predecessor to Final Fantasy Tactics, and indeed much of the team that made the latter came from members of the former who joined Square after Tactics Ogre was made.

The play mechanics are a little simpler, but you get to put more characters onto the field and there are more enemies as well which makes everything a bit more complex and brutal at times. Audiovisual-wise there is nothing to write home about - well, it WAS originally a SNES title after all - but the story is absolutely fantastic (average translation notwithstanding), with the Lawful path definitely the pick of the lot with its conflicts and themes.
