I've been a fan of the Crest/Banner of the Stars series since I first saw it on TechTV (Now G4TV). I bought Crest of the Stars, Banner of the Stars, and Banner of the Stars II. However, I have not been able to find the last remaining OVA eps that is Banner of the Stars III. But, of all the characters, I believe Spoor Aron Sekpadao Letopanyu Peneju was grand in every sense of the word. Anyway, now I'm just rambling...

While I haven't seen it in more than year, nor have I read any of the novels (would have to import the ones you guys in the U.S. have access to), it's definitely an excellent series, though I also wish we eventually get a continuation. Depends on how well the franchise is doing in Japan though, I guess.

It's not like the relatively open endings don't work, in fact they're usually good enough to resolve all the immediate plot lines, but the universe is so interesting and full of potential that I'd like to see more of it.

Plus, of course, there's always Lafiel and Jinto, but it's pretty clear they'll end up together by now, possible drama aside.

I wouldn't hold onto getting any more of the novels done. They didn't sell as well as was hoped so any future releases from TP aren't being planned.

I would love to see the guide book brought out over here, as well as the Abh language guides and stuff.
The anime was awesome, and to be honest i never had, and still don't have a complaint about the animation for any of the series. Maybe i just have a higher tollerance since i love the classics more :)

I actually prefered star III out of all of them, because we got to see Lafiel showing a more human side to her stoic personality. I've always loved her character, but the way she was portrayed in the last episode gave me goose bumps.

I hated star III however, its the worst OVA i'd ever seen. To much was cramned into 40mins. If you aren't going to give a show proper time to grow, then don't bother doing it. All they were trying to do iwas capetalise on the franchise and make a quick buck. It's rather sad really, and i consider it the weakest out of the series.

Episode 0 (the first OVA showing Lafiel's parents) is awesome. Because it helps you understand the character of the characters (if that makes sense) lol. In the first season Lafiel tells Jinto about when her dad told her the cat was the other cogenitor, while laughing about it i wondered what sort of person would say that. The OVA gives us an insight into the type of person he was.

I only hope someone other than TP pick up the rest of the series for release.

I'm a big fan of the * of the Stars franchise - Crest is my favourite. But I have to say I was a little bored during parts of Banner I; it's probably the uncomplicated action-junkie in me, but the show built up to a massive battle which turned out to be mostly a matter of 'lol, minez'. Banner II interested me more.

It'd be great if more of these were produced, (my inner Lafiel x Jinto shipper wants closure!) but I suppose there isn't the investment available.

Very excellent series. I just wish I could get a hold of translated novels. Especially the books after Banner of the Stars III.
