Clannad After Story confirmed
Can’t get enough Clannad? Then fear not, for an After Story sequel has inevitably been confirmed, and although a release date has not been announced, you can tickle your taste buds with this 18 second trailer (actually about 12 seconds of content and 6 of a still screen entitled “After Story”).
Entertainment correspondent Aria: Punyu. [This was an inevitable announcement, really, and whilst it will probably be decent enough, it’s undoubtedly going to be filled with sadness and depression.] Continue Reading »

Spring 2008 Preview: Once you get in the habit of doing these things, you have to keep it up

Published by Karura under Season Preview

chibi-karura-blog.pngPointless or not, I’m too opinionated not to post a spring preview, so her you go- Karura’s latest overture to conventionality. Once again, I’ve been too lazy to consider OVAs.

Gag Manga Biyori 3
I’m still waiting for Gag Manga Biyori 2 to be subbed in its entirety, but this offbeat and random comedy series has always been a fun diversion, and hopefully it will continue to be so. Continue Reading »

Tuesday Rumble: March 25th

Published by Karura under Tuesday Rumble

chibi-dii-blog.pngSuperficial reasons for watching a particular series
Much as I’d like to say that every anime I watch is picked through a rigorous series of selection tests, I have to admit that it often doesn’t work that way. Therefore, this week on Tuesday Rumble, we go behind the scenes to determine those superficial things that draw me to certain series.

  • Fat cats: really, what better reason could there be to watch a series than because it has overweight felines in it? It was this that brought me to Stratos 4, and kept me going with Mai-Otome.
  • Title: if the mere title of a series sounds interesting, or simply vaguely like something that I already like, I feel oddly drawn to it. Continue Reading »

Inukami: Perverts, Dog Girls and why I quite enjoyed the series in spite of it all

Published by Karura under Series reviews

Kawahira Keita isn’t your average high school student- he also happens to be an inukami tsukai, skilled in offensive spells and contracted with the inukami Youko, a supernatural dog-girl with more than few special abilities of her own. And unsurprisingly, the life of an inukami tsukai is anything but peaceful- for when Keita isn’t dealing with job requests, family members and their various inukami, he can’t even relax and enjoy the healthy pursuits of a red blooded male without invoking Youko’s wrath…

Tuesday Rumble: March 18th

Published by Karura under Tuesday Rumble

chibi-dii-blog.pngThe Aria Business Empire
Many have wondered exactly how President Aria made his millions, but in his inimitable fashion, he has only answered “punyu!” to the many questions directed at him. Nonetheless, Tuesday Rumble wasn’t willing to leave it at that, and so we have decided to delve into the origin and growth of what we now know as one of the universe’s most successful business empires.

Like all the best entrepreneurs, President Aria built himself up from nothing, with his dream of hitting the big time beginning in his early years. Whilst roaming the back streets of Neo Venezia, Aria dreamed of the day when he would be able to afford his own hat, and resolved to find a business partner to help him achieve this mighty dream. Final Thoughts: Sketchbook ~full color’S~

Published by Karura under Series reviews

Sora is a quiet girl who doesn’t talk much; instead, she prefers to communicate her feelings via the pictures in her sketchbook. When she isn’t out sketching or looking for the neighbourhood cats, Sora can usually be found with the other members of the art club, an eclectic and off-kilter bunch who are united by their love of drawing.
