Commonly anime settings are either japan or space, so it was quite interesting to actually see one which location was actually Latin America. The first two minutes of the first episode lifted up my hopes by mentioning the words like "Maxwell Demon" and "Entropy" ( i mean, real physics in a series is quite hard to find in this days).
But Bee trains managed to crush my dreams and my expectations in at least every single chapter. Latin America? every single town looked the same, and Wiñai marka is actually in Peru so do they want me to believe they crossed half the continent ( which is nothing but a never ending desert) by car only ? they mention llamas... you cant find those everywhere, right? so that goes for new and exiting settings.
Physics? Supposedly the entropy reducing mechanisms are the center of the series , yet their explanation of what it is its made boring... on purpose. They could open any Asimov book and steal an easy to understand explanation of what the Maxwell Demon is and how does it work, but they decided to insult the audience assuming they are as stupid as Nadie and they wont care if those little tricks the other main character is doing all the time are magic or science , so they wont ever know if this series is Science fiction or Fantasy . And why is a Phd in Physics working in what should have been a biologist work? And the ESP girl chapter... wtf?
So in resume this series does not only lack of any plot or action, but the few points that makes it original were used against itself to make the whole experience more painful for those who where eager to see something new...
The only good thing is the OST, but i am starting to wonder if i should stop seeing a series just because Yuki is making its music. God knows i tolerated the first season of Tsubasa just for it, even after i swore i wouldnt see anything from Clamp ever again.
In the end the only good thing left from this series was the five minutes of laughs i will get by reading your parodies. And in some point i thought that that was keeping bee train producing it, so they could read your review ( the yuri scenes grew worse and worse almost like they were begging you to mock them)

At least it was better then Madlax. Beetrain really should have quit after Noir.

I pretty sure the masked man in the ending theme was just about as important as the girls of Madlax floating around in a cocktail glass and Kirika walking down a beach with nothing on.

That's too bad. Nadie actually looked like an interesting character, from a design point of view.

Mainly the reviews I've read share your loathing (myself included) but try to justify the show's existence as being nothing more than a relationship story between Nadie and Ellis - and that may be all it really is. Unfortunately, its seriously retarded execution just makes it too painful to watch.

That means ADV Films will quickly pick it up to complete the trilogy. I pity the fools who end up buying it.
