Tuesday Rumble: October 30th

Published by Karura under Tuesday Rumble

chibi-dii-blog.pngOkay, I’ll start by levelling with you- I don’t know what happened, but in the last few weeks my enthusiasm for watching anime and blogging just leaked away. Don’t worry, I won’t be giving up entirely, but it does mean the rate of posting that you have become accustomed to will be replaced by something more leisurely in pace.

Akagi 4Kids

Great news, Akagi fans, your favourite show has been licensed- by 4Kids! After the success of Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh!, we decided that kids were ready for yet another gaming craze in the form of mah-jongg (or as we have decided to rename it, Tile Frenzy). In this series, plucky lead Ace (formerly known as Akagi) will bravely battle against the Gentlemen’s Club (yakuza) as he tries to prove to everyone that courage and faith are all you need to win at Tile Frenzy! Unlike Akagi, Ace doesn’t cheat- he just uses the power of friendship and destiny, and he has no fear of his opponent’s pointy fingers of death! Continue Reading »

New anime licensor steps into the ring
Californian company New Galaxy Anime has stepped up to the plate to try its hand at licensing anime, starting with the 1981 Osamu Tezuka directed film The Adventures of Unico. Although there is no release date for the film as yet, this initial announcement seems to indicate that the company will be focusing on bringing older ‘classics’ to the market.

Yumi and the other second years are venturing out from under the thumbs of their dominant onee-samas, but what kind of things will they get up to in cosmopolitan Italy? chibi-dii-blog.pngSometimes, you just have to do something completely shameless- for example, just by typing “Dumbledore is gay” here, I can ride the wave of a recent news story and attract more viewers. And now that all you people have come to this blog for no reason, go away again whilst the regular readers click onwards.

Ratchet and Clank Universe

Ratchet and Clank is a great game series, but there are still ways to make it even better- and one of those ways is through R&C Universe. In this innovative game, every planet that has been featured in an R&C game up until now is available to visit, with all the races, space battles and other mini-games that you could ever wish for! Now Chagum must learn to live the life of a commoner, even as Balsa protects him from the inevitable wave of assassins, whilst various powers try to find the truth behind the so-called ‘water fiend’ that possessed Chagum and forced him into this situation in the first place. Published by Karura under Sunday News Bites

Hello and welcome to another edition of Sunday News Bites! It’s been a bit of a slow news week, but never let it be said that we on the Sunday News Bites team aren’t experts at scraping the bottom of the barrel to bring you a few titbits of mild interest! Today’s guest is Shion from Higurashi Kai, who we hauled in shortly before she went on a killing spree.

Final Thoughts: Mushi-Uta

Published by Karura under Series reviews

Ten years ago, the Mushi started appearing- mysterious bug-like creatures that give their hosts supernatural powers in exchange for slowly but steadily consuming their dreams. Fuelled by the power of the Mushi, different factions sprang up, each aggressively pursuing their own agenda- and often unaware that the people they fight with their Mushi are often the alter egos of their closest friends.
