Having watched eps 15 and 16 now, I have to say - any worries I had about the main plot seem utterly unfounded at this point. It's good. It's damn good. Now I'm caught in huge frustration at not having an ep 17 raw. Argh.

Oh, and you've just sold Oh! Edo Rocket to me. Checking out now...

Normally I'd agree with the anti-recap sentiments, but either my love of Dennou Coil blinded me (not to mention my need for more in any form), or it just seemed good after the highly pedestrian SaiMono recap episode. Either way, at least we have 15-16 now...not that I can acquire until Sunday when I get home to my own internet connection, but the knowledge they're available will keep me going until then.

Kryptfo, I'm awaiting the main plot with both hope and trepidation- I want it to be worthy but also fear that it can't possibly live up to the impossible expectations I'm laying on it.

I wasn't too enamoured of the Dennou Coil recap either. In fact, if there's anything I hate more than a recap episode, it's one that sneaks in a few new and important sections alongside it to make sure you watch. I can't find it in myself to hate it, because the show is so darned good as a whole, but after what seems like forever waiting for this episode, I felt somewhat like I'd been spanked repeatedly by Fumie. And no, not in a good way.

I was woefully unimpressed by Dennou Coil's recap episode. The scenes with Fumie's little brother and his hand-eared virtual pet were nice enough, but the recapping itself did a very poor job at actually recapping what has happened so far, and I ended up skipping most of the episode.

The end of the episode seemed to promise that the plot will finally start moving forwards, but I'm not all that sure I even *want* it to move forwards. The whole series could be nothing but big fish and beard people and Nessies and I'd enjoy every second of it, but despite the many intriguing mysteries held within I can't say I have very high expectations for the main plot.

On the topic of excellent recap episodes, I don't think it's possible to do better than episode 33 of Revolutionary Girl Utena. Not only is it far superior over the non-recap episodes of other series, it's also one of the best episodes of the series itself.

And yes, Oh! Edo Rocket really is excellent. I can't get that goddamn ba-ba-ba-ba-ba of the opening song out of my head :P
