Akagi is one of the best anime's I've seen, I just started watching it by accident and it turned out to be great.
Not so fan of the other anime's you've posted here...A bit too childish most of them.

tj han: Aside from GITS, which isn't one of my favourites (heresy!) I haven't watched the others (well, 25 mins of Gintama). I shall start Gintama and Gatekeepers sometime in the near to mid future, though.

Ravage: Yeah, it's hard to get the balance between giving people enough info to get a grounding on the story and giving away too much, but I think my synopsis is about the same as what's on the back of the volume one DVD. Full Moon...again something I enjoyed but not so much so to put it on here.

Hinano: We'll always have Busou Renkin ;p ...blogging hasn't been the same since it ended.

kacpy: Go to the top of the class ;p

kiseki gurl: Aria is great, hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Ojamajo_LimePie: See above for comment on Full Moon...haven't seen CCS or Kodocha yet.

setesh:...and I finally got around to it, yay ;p

mei: I love Dennou Coil and Oh! Edo Rocket, but I didn't want to include anything that hadn't finished airing yet. I got bored with Blood+ early on and even though it's supposed to improve I never could be bothered to pick it up. Eureka 7 is on the to watch list.

Kryptfo: No, Miu is evilz! Evilz I say (but necessary to the series, I admit). Thanks for the long comment, though :)

Series that I haven't watched, but intend to:
Akagi
Beck
Big O
Boogiebop Phantom
Crest of the Stars
Fafner
Fantastic Children
Gungrave
Gunslinger Girl
Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu
Kare Kano
Kurau Phantom Memory
Last Exile

Series that I don't even intend to watch:

Air: I refuse to watch eroge adaptations on principle. Maybe I really am missing something truly fantastic, but I get the feeling I'd just end up frothing at the mouth, screaming obscenities and over-analysing the misogyny.

Binchou-tan: Looks way too moe for me.

Fruits Basket: Based on what I've heard, I'd probably want to snap the protagonist's neck before the end of episode one.

Hunter x Hunter: I'm sticking with One Piece, thanks.

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien: See Air.

Koi Kaze: The subject of incest, dealt as something more than a creepy fetish, does intrigue me, but what I've heard of Nanoka and her innocent moe personality has kind of put me off.

Stuff that I have watched, in part or in whole:

Aria: The first season was very nice, but I guess the novelty must've worn off during the second season or something, because I ended up dropping the series very unceremoniously.

Azumanga Daioh: Aw hells yeah. Unless Lovely Complex pulls off some super-fantastic tricks during the last few episodes, Azu will remain as the best comedy anime I've ever seen.

Berserk: I really ought to buy the rest of the DVD's, too. (Guts/Griffith OTP!)

Le Chevalier d'Eon: Intrigue, period dress, gender bending, well-executed swordfights, mysterious magic... It's as if they're pandering to my tastes - and for once, the pandering works!

Gankutsuou: Fantastic experimental visuals, period dress, intrigue, Juurouta Kosugi voicing a man with darker skin and a white mullet, story based on a piece of classic literature... It's another bullseye!

Genshiken: Watched it, thought it was okay, some of the one-liners really cracked me up ("Those who say they cn't jack off to anime must have something wrong with their brains!").

Haibane Renmei: The second-best anime series I've ever had the pleasure to watch.

Hikaru no Go: I watched the first episode quite some time ago, and whilst it did seem to have some interesting elements, it didn't really capture me. One Piece is all the SJ silliness I'll ever need.

Honey & Clover: I still haven't finished watching the first season. Now, I can definitely see why other people like this - the drama is really, really, really well-done - but for some reason the show has utterly failed in making me care about the characters.

Ichigo Mashimaro: MIU FOR WORLD PRESIDENT.

Kino's Journey: I still haven't finished watching this, mostly because I don't want it to end. Awesome stuff.

you don't like blood+ and denno coil, eureka7, oh!edo rocket?

i'm glad you included crest of the stars, this has to be one of the most under-appreciated sci-fi series.

can't wait for the rest of your list

Your list lacks Cardcaptor Sakura, Fullmoon wo Sagashite, and Kodomo no Omocha. As such, its fails.

Unfortunately, I have not watched most of these despite the fact that I know almost all by name. But on the shows I did watch:
-AIR: Finished it and hated it. I actually think it had the potential to be good but it definitely lost it somewhere.
- Azumanga Daioh: Well I only read the manga but I didn't find it all that funny. Dropped.
-Fruits Basket: Again I only read the manga. It was great in the beginning but I agree it lost it somewhere need volume 14 or something.
-Gankutsuou: One of my personal favorites. I don't know a single person who's finished it and not liked it.
Well obviously we have different tastes but thanks for the list nevertheless. If I ever have free time, I'll get to watching these (I know have ARIA on the backup somewhere).
