the second act isn't disappointing at all. it's as good as the first one i think. everything's great, from story to graphics. it's just that, i think the last kissing scene of emma and jones looks a bit.. well.. it makes me dizzy because they were like rotating or something.

at first i thought hans is goon because he looks like wolverine but he's actually a man who knows when to let go. as to eleanor, i'm glad she had finally attracted someone (usually, she's the one who becomes addicted to someone right? remember how aggressive she became.. just to win Jones?).

the character that touched my heart so dearly is william jones. i felt like, i would be more than happy to become a servant (like emma) if someone like him would become my life time partner someday. well, i just hope that someone like william jones still exists.

why is that emma in the second act not as exceedingly cute as in the first season? did the company that makes the anime change its graphic person? it does break my heart into scattering pieces! =(

I think the word "enlarge" has been ruined forever by those e-mails...

The Nanette story was a disappointment and in an ideal world that episode should have been used to get straight into the manga plot. After that, though, I was content until I realised just how much of the manga was missed out; now I think I need to go back and reread it to refresh my memory.

I actually always had the impression that the anime is lacking depth compared to the manga. Especially the story with Nanette seemed so horribly generic to me. In the end, maybe I'm just missing the opera scenes and other cultural subtleties, but I think there was more.
However, I'm very pleased with how they enlarged Hans' role, even though I never really liked him in the manga back then. Here in the anime, he became much more interesting. Maybe they noticed that Hans had a huge following among female readers? (By the way, why am I always thinking of spam mails when I write "enlarge", huh?)

Aside from that, I'm glad to hear that they showed how William and Emma turned out to be very happy together. :)
