Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto parody episode 4

Picking up where last episode left off…

Shiranui: There’s no way for you to win, Saiga- you’re surrounded by main characters!

Saiga: Item Use- Blasting Caps!

Saiga shoots a couple of blasting caps and uses the smoke to make a getaway.

Shiranui: Hmm, not bad for such a forgettable minor character.

Kakunojo: Thank you for saving me, Akidzuki- maybe you have BI inclinations after all. Continue Reading »

Harvest Moon Anton’s Diary: Year 3 Summer Part II

Published by Karura under Harvest Moon

Day 16
When I went outside this morning, I noticed that the Pineapples were progressing nicely- that is, all except a lagging bunch of three. Why must this always happen? Ah well, at least the watering is much reduced now that the pumpkins are gone, enabling me to go out and buy wine for Karen shortly after 9am, safe in the knowledge that the farm tasks have been completed.

In the afternoon, I finally decided to dismantle the fence separating crops and grass- not only does it get in the way of harvesting, but half of it has rotted now to my lack of attention to it (well, there are better things to do than continually repair fences). I also made sure to cut some more grass and ride Seiran- he must be kept happy at any cost.

Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto parody episode 3

Zagashira talks to Kakunojo.

Zagashira: You know, now that we’ve got our revenge and all, there’s really no need for us to keep doing this.

Kakunojo: But we can’t be written out after just two episodes! We need to find new plot reasons to appear onscreen.

Meanwhile, Shiranui is paying a visit to the red light district.

(Shiranui: Since there’s still no sign that Akidzuki wants HARD GAY with me, I’ll just have to drown my sorrows in BI.)

Meanwhile, Akidzuki visits Master Shouten, whose assistant, Shinza, immediately gives him Wooden Sword. A swift HARD GAY encounter ensues. Continue Reading »

Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto parody episode 2

Akidzuki wakes from nightmares about the auction house HARD GAY, only to find himself at the troupe’s HQ.

(Akidzuki: Not these weirdoes again.)

Akidzuki goes to leave, but Ebisu stops him.

Ebisu: Oh no, you don’t! If you leave, our screen time will be reduced.

Gantz: the rant

Published by Karura under Rants

Many people love Gantz. They praise it with adjectives such as ‘awesome’ and ‘pure w1n’, and can never be said to be slow to defend its perceived greatness. Unfortunately, I never really appreciated the appeal of the series, and so what better pastime than to rile the fanboys introduce an opposing point of view? Please note, however, that I’m only talking about the Gantz anime; I have yet to read the manga, although I may do so in the future.

Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto parody episode 1

Narrator: It was the last era when men lived as (and with) men, placing their beliefs on the swing of their ‘blade’.

In Sunpu castle, Prince Takahito talks with Takamori.

Takamori: Where is the head? I’ve been waiting for HARD GAY for ages.

Out on the river, Kaishuu is having the same problem.

Kaishuu: Where the hell is the head? This is supposed to be a HARD GAY series, but I’m not getting any! Continue Reading »

Level E: The E stands for ‘Alien’

Published by Karura under Manga

The title of this post is not a joke; Togashi meant to call this Level A(lien), but his command of English was such that he thought ‘Eirien’ began with E.

Although most humans remain blissfully unaware of it, aliens have been coming to Earth for many years, driven by everything from a desire to commit illegal activities to a wholehearted devotion to the sport of baseball. For those in the know, the most infamous of these aliens must surely be Ouji, First Prince of the planet Dogra, a man as twisted as he is brilliant. From his long suffering bodyguards to the various humans who get caught up in his web, everyone would agree that life is certainly more interesting when Ouji is around, but it also tends to get a lot more complicated.

Tuesday Rumble: May 22nd

Published by Karura under Tuesday Rumble

chibi-dii-blog.pngIt’s easy to forget how much you customised your old computer- until you get a new one. Why are default settings always so useless, forcing you to turn them off or change them for any number of programs?

A guide to a typical El Cazador episode

Even at this early stage, it is clear that El Cazador’s writers have failed to grasp the value of originality, and so I can confidently predict the pattern of at least nineteen of the next twenty episodes of the series. Continue Reading »
