The Liangs of the two main characters are so Zhuge that all other characters feel like theirs are mere Ezos when compared to them. It's an anime about drinking lots of Manly booze, being a Bad-Ass Manly Hero, and having lots and lots of Manly STRAIGHT with women who have Big Tits. Of course, a lot of anime series are exactly like that. However, Moonlight Mile is somehow so exceptionally obvious, so gleefully transparent about it, it's sometimes almost like a self-parody. The rest of the time, though, it's just a testosterone delirium with some good sci-fi thrown in the mix. Which is understandable (as the anime had run out of manga material around that time), but sad because I think he's the "hidden star" of Spiral. After all he does and all that happens to him, he's one of the most memorable characters.
