		<description>I not read the manga but have watched the series.  I found it very enjoyable but was really confused by the ending.  Van and Hitomi are in love and she wants to stay but leaves anyway (presumably forever)?</description>

		<description>I think the series worked because it blended shounen and shoujo elements effectively (and because of the wonderful soundtrack). Trying to isolate one or the other makes it fall apart, so I&#039;m not surprised the manga doesn&#039;t work. Apart from the apparently poor storytelling skills, of course...</description>
