Princess Sakura and archaeologist’s son Syaoran are childhood friends living in the desert kingdom of Clow. If it was up to them, their peaceful days together would last forever, but unfortunately fate has other ideas. Akane meets up with Princess Fuji.

Fuji: Main character, consider me at your service. I will handle exposition and explanation for you, the Ryuujin no Miko.

Akane: Me?

Fuji: Yes, for you are the lead, and that makes you more suited to saving this small land floating in the middle of nowhere than anyone who lives here. Now, let’s save some budget by indulging in a flashback to last episode. Continue Reading »

Tuesday Rumble: September 19th

Published by Karura under Tuesday Rumble

The loss of a hard drive filled with data would be a serious blow to anyone, and it seemed to be one I was set to experience after my 250 GB external drive started acting up. Thankfully, for once I had the foresight to order another one (thus rendering it out of stock) before the first one died completely, and for once it actually arrived at my house reasonably promptly. Admittedly it lacks an on/off button and is not as aesthetically pleasing as the first, but more importantly, it actually works.

Meanwhile, I’ve had to change some regional settings to Japanese in order to play the Fate/Stay Night demo version (ironically, the translated demo), and now Japanese is taking over my computer. Even the backslash in filenames has turned into a yen sign.

Eternal Sabbath volume 1

Published by Karura under Manga

He calls himself Eternal Sabbath (ES), although if it’s convenient he’s just as likely to use another name. A man with the unique ability to literally hack into people’s minds and rearrange their memories, he wanders from place to place, his goals unclear, his past a mystery.

Whilst using the identity “Ryousuke Akiba”, a chance meeting brings ES into contact with Dr Mine Kyujou, a researcher into the workings of the human brain, and one of the few people able to resist his hacking. Mine is immediately fascinated by ES and his superhuman abilities, but as she attempts to investigate him, she finds herself drawn into the larger events surrounding ES and the very reason why he came to exist in the first place. Hakuoro here. I have tried my hardest to create a harem that could satisfy my every desire, but it seems it has not been enough. With this in mind, I am not sure how to proceed, but all I can do is take each day as it comes, and hope for the best… Continue Reading »

The Rise and Fall of Honey and Clover

Published by Karura under Rants

honey-and-clover.jpg
Last year, it was almost inevitable that I would become one of the many people to fall under the spell of Honey and Clover. Having just graduated from university myself, the tale of a group of people undergoing the same experiences (well, roughly the same) was one I could easily relate to. And so it was that from start to finish, the anime captivated me with its emotion, humour, and a personal touch of bittersweet nostalgia. Continue Reading »

Hakuoro here. Even as I put all my efforts into adding Kuuya to my harem, she has been using her own harem and their Avu Kamuu FMA rejects to advance on my country. Now, my only choice is to flee to safety, whilst the comrades I have so carefully gathered for this moment risk their lives for my sake… Continue Reading »
