Hakuoro here. I have come to realise that the best way to build up and subsequently care for a sizable harem is to have one’s own country, and to that end, I have raised an army to overthrow Emperor Inkara. Since I am the main character, the war is going smoothly, and I anticipate victory in the near future…

I know I kept saying that I was going to do a parody for this, but having rewatched episode one, I can see that Gin does not lend itself to parody as readily as its successor. Instead, I’ll be adopting a different format- a paragraph or two five of tongue-in-cheek summary, followed by a guide to some of the more hilarious screencaps of the episode.
And so, without further ado, let the fun commence… Continue Reading »

Hakuoro here. Thanks to Oboro’s cooperation, I have successfully integrated Yuzuha into my harem, but now I must tread carefully. With three girls, the task of keeping a high relationship score with all of them becomes that much more difficult, and thus I must take some time to work on them all before proceeding with my plan to overthrow Afro-Emperor Inkara.

The forces of evil (blue, yellow) casually overrun my stronghold of good (red), whilst my negative gold balance ensures I cannot summon any more warriors.
I’d like to say I was a fan of strategy games; after all, what could be more satisfying than meticulously building up an army and crushing any enemy foolish enough to oppose you? I’d also like to say that I was a master of such games, that no orc army could possibly be strong enough to take down my valiant human warriors (or vice versa), or that no dungeon of evil was too daunting for my forces of justice. Unfortunately, such is not the case- no matter how much I may enjoy the early stages of Warcraft, Dungeon Keeper and the like, by the time it gets to around level five, I’m hopelessly outclassed. And now, I have turned my attention to Battle for Wesnoth, a turn-based strategy game with a difference- that difference being that it’s near impossible right from the outset. Continue Reading »

As if one weekly feature wasn’t enough, I’ve decided to introduce the Weekly Round-Up’s opposite number, which ended up being named “Tuesday Rumble” through lack of a better title. To clarify just what this entails, this is an ‘experimental’ section of the blog that will bring together the random thoughts and observations that weren’t fully formed enough to deserve a post of their own. Since I ran out of time whilst writing this am testing the waters for this feature, this first entry will be a touch on the brief side. Continue Reading »

Meet Jing- in case you hadn’t guessed it from the title, he’s the youthful and fast-fingered King of Bandits. Travelling from city to city with his wisecracking bird sidekick, Kir, Jing has set himself the task of stealing the treasures of the world, whilst Kir concentrates on sampling the local women. Along the way they’ll meet bad guys, distressed townspeople and even the weekly “Jing girl”, but you can be sure they’ll come out on top no matter who they encounter. Continue Reading »

Hakuoro here. Thanks to my defeat of Sasante, I now have control of a larger base of operations, but although the first stage has been successful, the campaign is far from over. With my conquests bringing me only generic warriors, I must forge ahead in search of named female characters to add to my harem… Continue Reading »
